SOBEC THE EGYPTIAN CROCODILE GOD BY:Clair Whiteside A-2
Sobec was believed to be a human with a crocodile on his head Egyptians believed that if u didn't live a good life he would take your heart and eat it. Also they believed that he sweated the Nile and his minions which were actually real crocodiles that if anyone that had a bad soul that he didn't trust came by were killed.Since the Nile was covered with crocodiles it meant a lot to the Egyptians life.
Sobec was also believed to help the Egyptians with there living supplies. Since he sweated the Nile he also caused it to flood which helped there crops and the soil wasn't as dry as it was.Plus he was considered the god of good and bad.Also did you know that he was the son of Neith. Neith was the goddess of war and weaving .
Plus if i were to make a temple for the god Sobec I would place it right next to the Nile and put a giant head of a alligator on the pyramid. Then i would put statues with ponds around them of the god Sobec. Then i would make the whole pyramid green with moss.After that i would put inside a giant swimming pool for people to swim with the alligators.Then i would set a giant cafeteria there for people to eat when ever they want and if travelers needed to stay somewhere they would have to pay and stay at a place away from the pyramid and it would be half the size of the pyramid.
